Carpvale Pools consist of three heavily stocked lakes just off the A59, close to the village of Moor Monkton, York.

The Cyprio Pool, pegs 1 to 21, has been stocked with mainly larger 5lb plus Carp with the odd specimen reaching 20lb plus.

The Match Pool, pegs 22 to 55, has been stocked with mainly small Carp plus all other coarse fish.

The Front Pool, pegs 54 to 72, has all types of coarse fish with Carp into low double figures.

Day Tickets - March 1st to October 31st at £8, OAPs £5, Children 14 & under £4, Half day after 3pm £5.

Follow the A59 from the A1 junction towards York. About two miles after crossing the River Nidd at Skip Bridge turn left at a sign indicating Moor Monkton village. Follow for about one mile and turn left at the sign for the Fishing Lakes car park.

Please ensure site entrance gate is closed at all times.

1. Day ticket is valid for the named person on the day stated and must be carried by them at all times while at Carpvale Pools.
2. Fishing is from 7am until sunset.
3. Fishing is with one rod, line and hook only.
4. No Keepnets allowed - except in a pre-booked match.
5. No fish to be removed from the site. Anyone caught doing so will be prosecuted.
6. Anybody with litter in or around his/her peg will be asked to leave.
7. Barbless or microbarb hooks only to be used.
8. Fishing is only allowed from designated platforms.
9. Anglers must remain close to the pool and not interefere with any form of wildlife or trample down any vegetation.
10. A current rod licence is required.
11. No fish to be held in cloths or towels
12. No braided or hook lengths

The following additional rules apply for matches:

13. Carpvale Pools are open from 7am until sunset. A match may be fished at any time but must not exceed six hours in duration
14. Anglers may stay and fish on after the match has finished, but must not use keepnets.
